Your first real road bike and the bits that make it rideable all summer. The bike is the big spend; everything else is about contact points (saddle, pedals, bar tape) and not getting stranded — pump, tubes, multi-tool, a light. Buy this once and you are in the sport.

FAQ
Common questions about this kit
Is Claris good enough to start?
Yes. Shimano Claris is a proper 2x8 groupset, not a toy. You will not outgrow it in a season, and it is serviceable at any bike shop.
Clipless pedals on day one?
Intimidating but worth it. This kit ships flats so you can ride immediately; click into the clipless once you can start and stop without thinking.
Do I really need a helmet?
Always. Get one that fits — a MIPS model is worth the few extra dollars for rotational-impact protection.
What keeps me from getting stranded?
A mini pump, two tubes, a patch kit, and a multi-tool. With those, a flat is a five-minute stop, not a walk home.
