FAQ

Common questions about this kit

Webcam or DSLR?

To start, a good 1080p60 webcam. A DSLR or mirrorless via a capture card is a later upgrade for sharper depth. Do not start there.

USB or XLR mic?

USB to start (plug and play, zero interface). XLR when you add a second mic or want pro processing.

Two lights or one?

Two, as key and fill, to kill hard shadows. One light makes you look like a deer in headlights; two give even, flattering light.

Green screen worth it?

If your room is not stream-presentable, yes. A clean virtual background keeps the focus on you. If your setup is aesthetic, skip it and show the room.

User Reviews

5.0 / 5.0

Gaming stream desk and my podcast studio share the treat-the-room rule — two lights kill the deer-in-headlights. USB-mic-first is right.
