Once the ollie is yours, you build the board for the tricks you want. A pro blank deck, independent-style trucks, smaller harder wheels for street (they slide for tricks), a skate tool to swap and tune, and curb wax so the ledge slides. The board is an extension of the feet — every part tuned to the style you skate.

Common questions about this kit
Why build instead of buy complete?
A custom build lets you match each part to your style — wider trucks for stability, smaller wheels for flip tricks, a shaped deck for pools. A complete is a compromise; a custom build is yours.
Why smaller, harder wheels for street?
52 to 54 mm, 99a to 101a durometer — small and hard rolls fast on smooth concrete and slides predictably for tricks. Bigger, softer wheels (cruiser) are for rough streets and commuting, not tricks.
What does a skate tool do?
It is the all-in-one wrench for the kingpin nut, axle nuts, and hardware — the three sizes on a board. Tighten loose trucks, swap wheels, change decks. Carry one every session; a loose truck mid-line is a hazard.
Why wax a ledge?
Street tricks (boardslides, grinds) need the ledge slick so the truck or board slides instead of catching. Skate wax applied to concrete or metal ledges (with permission) makes the trick possible. No wax, no slide.
