Beginner Tennis Starter Kit

Friends always ask me "where do I start?" — so here it is. One forgiving oversized racket, real balls, proper court shoes, and the little things (overgrip, dampener, wristbands) that keep a new player happy for a full hour of drills. No gear-nerd upgrades. Just the essentials that will not hold you back.

FAQ

Common questions about this kit

I have never played — is this enough to start?

Yes. Racket, balls, shoes, and grip cover everything you need for a first lesson and your first dozen rallies.

Do I need to string the racket myself?

No, it ships pre-strung. When the strings go dead (about every 30 to 50 hours of play), a pro shop can restring it in a day.

Are extra-duty balls right for me?

Extra duty is made for hard courts, which is where almost everyone plays. Choose regular duty only if you play on clay.

Why a 115 square-inch head?

A bigger head is a bigger sweet spot with more power, so it forgives the off-center hits you will make while learning.

Built this exact starter set for my brother. Pre-strung plus extra-duty balls means zero excuses.

All-Court Starter

Bought this for my nine-year-old. The 115 head size is perfect — she is finally hitting the ball instead of the frame.
