Scale crawling is slow-speed technical driving over rocks and trails — precision over power. A 1/10-scale crawler with locked diffs and a torquey motor, two LiPo packs for all-day run time, a field charger, and a common spare-parts bundle (because rocks break things). The line you pick matters more than the throttle.

FAQ
Common questions about this kit
What makes a crawler different?
Locked differentials, soft sticky tires, a low gear ratio, and high torque — built to climb, not to speed. A crawler inches over rocks where a basher would spin out. It is about precision line-picking, not throttle.
Why LiPo for crawling?
Lower weight (less to carry up a hill) and steady voltage under load. Crawlers draw high current at low speed; a LiPo delivers it without sag. A 2S pack is standard; 3S adds wheel speed for mud but risks breakage.
What breaks first?
Steering linkages, servo horns, and driveshafts — the parts that take the rock impacts. Carry spares of the common failure points and the hex tools to swap them. Crawling is gentle on motors, brutal on steering.
Can I run it in water?
Most scale crawlers are water-resistant, not waterproof — mud and water will kill the bearings and electronics over time. A splash through a creek is fine; submerging is not. Rinse and re-oil after wet runs.
