FAQ
Common questions about this kit
30A or 50A?
Match your rig. Most smaller RVs are 30A; larger motorhomes are 50A. An adapter lets a 30A rig plug into 50A, not the reverse.
Surge protector — really needed?
Yes. Campground power is famously dirty; a spike fries your RV electronics. A $60 surge protector saves a $3000 repair.
Leveling blocks over jacks?
Use both — drive-up blocks get you close, then the stabilizer jacks take out the wobble. Never level with the stabilizers alone.
Fresh water hose vs garden hose?
A drinking-water hose is food-grade and taste-free; a garden hose leaches chemicals and tastes like rubber. Always use the white RV hose.

Weekend RV kit and my overland build share the surge-protector-and-clean-water gospel. Leveling with blocks-then-jacks is right.
