Precision Pistol & Dry-Fire Kit

The pros shoot more in dry-fire (no ammo) than live — trigger control is built at home, safely, for free. A dry-fire training kit (laser cartridge and a target app), a shot timer to structure practice, a holster and belt for defensive practice, and a gun vise for cleaning and sight work. The skill is built in the living room; the range confirms it.

FAQ

Common questions about this kit

What is dry-fire, and is it safe?

Practicing the trigger press, sight alignment, and draw with an UNLOADED gun (no ammo in the room) — the cheapest, most effective practice there is. It is safe only with strict discipline: no ammo present, a safe backstop, and the four rules. It builds trigger control faster than range time because of the volume.

Why a laser training cartridge?

It drops into the chamber and emits a laser pulse when the firing pin hits — the app records where the shot landed and the time. It turns dry-fire into measurable practice (you see the shot and the group), and it makes the draw-to-first-shot drill concrete. It is the bridge between dry and live fire.

What is a shot timer for?

It beeps randomly and times the interval to your shot — the metric of defensive and competitive shooting (the "split"). Without a timer, practice is accuracy only; with it, practice is accuracy under pressure. It turns "I can hit the target" into "I can hit it in 1.8 seconds, every time."

Why a holster and belt?

Defensive and competitive pistol shooting is from the holster — the draw is a skill, and a proper belt and a quality holster (rigid, covering the trigger guard) are part of it. A flimsy belt and a cheap floppy holster are unsafe and slow. The gear is part of the discipline.
