Beyond the flat jigsaw is a world of mechanical and wooden puzzles — burr puzzles, sequential-discovery boxes, and 3D wooden models that move. A set of graded burr and interlocking puzzles, a sequential-discovery box (open it in the right hidden order), and a 3D wooden automaton kit. The reward is the "aha" — the trick you did not see until you saw it.

Common questions about this kit
What is a burr puzzle?
Interlocking notched sticks that assemble into a 3D shape (often a cross or a knot) — and the puzzle is both putting it together and taking it apart. The classic 6-piece burr has thousands of variants. They are spatial reasoning puzzles with no picture to guide you.
What is sequential discovery?
A puzzle box you open by discovering a hidden sequence of moves — slide this, unscrew that, find the hidden tool, use it on the next step. Each step unlocks the next, and the order is the puzzle. They reward exploration and patience; forcing them breaks them.
What is a 3D wooden automaton?
A laser-cut kit you assemble into a working mechanism — a moving safe, a timer, a kinetic sculpture — with gears and cams. It is a puzzle (the assembly) and a model (the result) and a lesson in mechanics, all in one. No glue; everything is mechanical.
How do I get unstuck?
Stop and come back — insight puzzles solve themselves in the shower. Or reverse it: if you cannot see how to open it, study how it was closed. Never force a mechanical puzzle; if it does not move with gentle pressure, it is not meant to move there yet. Force breaks; patience solves.
