The home gym for the three lifts (squat, bench, deadlift) done right. A competition power rack with calibrated safeties, a 20 kg bar and competition plates, a flat competition bench, a deadlift platform, calibrated plates, a belt and knee sleeves, and chalk. Train like you compete.

Common questions about this kit
Competition rack over stands?
For heavy squatting and benching alone, yes — a competition rack with pin/strap safeties catches a missed lift and lets you train to failure safely. The safeties are the point.
Deadlift platform?
Yes — it protects the floor and the bar from dropped deadlifts, and gives a consistent, chalk-friendly surface. A sheet of plywood plus horse-stall mats is the cheap, correct build.
Calibrated plates?
For real training numbers, yes — calibrated plates are within 10 g of stated weight, where cheap plates are off by pounds. If you are chasing a total, know the real load.
Belt and sleeves?
A belt gives your core something to brace against on heavy squats and pulls; knee sleeves add warmth and mild support. Neither is a crutch — both are tools for lifting heavier, safer.
User Reviews
Powerlifting home gym and my CrossFit garage share the competition-rack-and-platform brain — calibrated plates and a 20kg bar are the real-numbers call. Spot on.
