An aeroponic wall is the showpiece — the roots hang in air and are misted with nutrient solution on a timer, growing herbs faster than soil. A vertical tower with a reservoir base and a timed pump, a grow light strip, an EC/pH meter to manage the solution, and a culinary herb seed pack. Basil, mint, oregano — fresh herbs year-round, off the wall.

Common questions about this kit
What is aeroponics?
The roots hang in air and are misted with nutrient solution on a cycle (e.g., 1 minute on, 5 off) — the maximum oxygen to the roots, so growth is faster than DWC or soil. It is more technical (the mist nozzles clog, the pump must cycle) but yields the fastest, most efficient growth. NASA grows this way.
Why an EC/pH meter?
The nutrient solution must be the right strength (EC) and acidity (pH) or the plants cannot absorb the nutrients — the meter is the dashboard. Lettuce wants a lower EC than fruiting plants; herbs like a pH around 5.8. Without the meter you are guessing; with it you are dialing in the recipe.
How often to change the solution?
Every 1 to 2 weeks, top up with fresh nutrient water in between as the plants drink it down. Algae and root exudates build up over time and throw off the EC/pH. A full reservoir change every two weeks keeps the plants healthy and the system clean.
What herbs grow best?
Basil, mint, oregano, thyme, and cilantro thrive hydroponically and regrow after cutting (cut-and-come-again). Mint is so aggressive it should only ever live in hydro or a pot — in soil it takes the yard. A mixed herb wall gives you a fresh garnish for every meal, all year.
User Reviews
The aeroponic tower and my smart home share the timer-and-the-sensor gospel — a pump on a cycle and an EC meter are the leak sensor and the schedule. The dead-pump-kills-the-crop line is the dead-battery-kills-the-lock line, agreed.
