Out-of-area contact?
Yes — local calls often fail in a regional disaster; an out-of-area contact (often reachable) becomes the relay for a scattered family to reunite. Every family member memorizes the number.
Rally points?
Two — one just outside the home (a neighbor's), one outside the neighborhood (a school or landmark). If the family is separated, you converge on the rally point in order.
Practice the drill?
