Soft-tip darts use plastic points and an electronic board that keeps score — the standard for bar leagues and home play without wall damage. A self-scoring electronic board, a set of lighter soft-tip darts (16-18g), replacement tips (they bend and break), and a dart mat to protect the floor. League night, every Tuesday.

Common questions about this kit
Steel-tip or soft-tip?
Soft-tip uses plastic points on an electronic board that auto-scores — ideal for bars, homes, and leagues, and no wall holes. Steel-tip on sisal is the classic pub game. Most home players pick soft-tip for convenience and scoring.
Why lighter darts for soft-tip?
Soft-tip darts are 16 to 18 grams (steel-tip runs 22-26) because the plastic tip and electronic segments favor a lighter, flatter throw. The mechanics are the same — stance, elbow, release — tuned to the lighter dart.
Do the tips break often?
Yes — plastic tips bend and snap on a board miss or a hard hit, which is why a bulk replacement pack is essential. A hundred tips costs little and saves the night when one breaks mid-game. Carry spares always.
What games to learn first?
301 and 501 (count down from the number to exactly zero) and Cricket (hit the numbers 20-15 and bull to close them). Cricket is the social game; 501 is the tournament game. Master both and you can play anywhere.
