A dartboard on the wall turns any evening into a tournament. A regulation sisal bristle board (self-healing, lasts decades), a cabinet to hide it and hold the score, three quality tungsten darts, and an oche (throw line) marker set at exactly 7 feet 9¼ inches. The throw is the same every time — stance, elbow, eye, release.

Common questions about this kit
Sisal bristle or paper?
Sisal bristle — compressed plant fiber that self-heals when a dart is pulled, so the board lasts decades. Cheap paper-wound boards blow out fast. Spend on sisal once and it outlives the wall.
Why tungsten darts?
Tungsten is dense, so a slim dart (less crowding in the board and in your hand) at the same weight as a fat brass dart. A 22-24g tungsten barrel is the standard for serious play — slim, balanced, durable.
How far is the throw line?
7 feet 9¼ inches (2.37 m) from the face of the board for steel-tip — the oche. Get it right or your practice does not transfer to a real match. A marked throw line on the floor keeps it honest.
What height is the board?
The center (bullseye) sits at exactly 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m) from the floor. Measure twice, mount once — wrong height ruins every throw and every game. A template makes it foolproof.
User Reviews
A dartboard and my game shelf share the any-evening-a-tournament gospel — the cabinet hides it, the oche is the rules, and 501 is the social game. Sisal-self-heals like a well-sleeved card game, agreed.
