FAQ
Common questions about this kit
Bearing vs bushing bar?
Bearing for competitive Olympic lifts (smoother spin, more whip); bushing for general and strength work (cheaper, durable). Spend on bearing only if you snatch and clean heavy.
Rower or air bike?
Both for a real engine. The rower builds pulling and cardio; the air bike is unlimited resistance for sprint intervals. They hurt in different, necessary ways.
Gymnastics grips?
Yes — high-rep bar work (toes-to-bar, pull-ups, muscle-ups) tears your palms. Grips extend your reps before the skin fails.
How much cardio?
For CrossFit, a lot — two to three metcons a week plus dedicated engine sessions. Strength without conditioning is half the sport.
