CO2 injection?
Yes for a high-tech planted tank — pressurized CO2 supercharges plant growth (carpets, colors, dense growth) that ambient CO2 cannot. A regulator and a solenoid on a timer; the single biggest planted-tank upgrade.
Aquasoil over gravel?
Yes — aquasoil buffers the water and feeds the plant roots where inert gravel does not. The substrate is the foundation of a planted tank; spend on the soil, not the gravel.
Programmable LED?
Yes — a high-power, programmable-spectrum LED drives plant growth and lets you set a photoperiod (and a siesta). Light + CO2 + ferts is the growth triangle; the light is the engine.
Fert dosing?
Yes — fast-growing plants under high light and CO2 exhaust the water's nutrients; a dosing regimen (Estimative Index) keeps them fed. The third leg of the triangle; without it, the plants starve and algae moves in.
